| | | Rize arrived yesterday but I did not do an immediate photoshoot as I was working towards getting MGS4 Big Boss Emblem. Today we have Shuraki Box 05 Rizfis Luttiva Mente a.k.a Rize unboxed! Rize's box is huge, almost double the size of Shuraki Liu Mei Feng's box! While her hairdo may look a bit weird, but the details, colour and toning are very impressive. Like other Shuraki figure, Rize comes with a drama CD and a photobook.

Her PVC translucent 'crystal' base seems to be the most outstanding amongst other Shurakies' but mine got slightly deformed, it isn't perfectly flat :(

Maybe the base was abit deformed due to tiht packaging during shipping??

this figurine is nice, BUT the peg attached to her foot is not strong enough for supporting her non damaged skirt.. I have mine all (but one) broken! and another blogger I know got hers also broken....
not sure if i'm good enough to give you photography hint, but anyway, the glossy light reflection from th BG stole more attention than the figurine ^^;

Yup, BIG weapons = great figure :)
I don't think so, it is probably due to the material used to cast the base, perhaps the elastic PVC base deformed due to heat during shipping :(

That's very true ron~, her non damaged skirt isn't attached firmly either. I thought I almost broke her when I was transforming her from one version to another especially when fitting her damaged dress.
I have always been amazed by your figure photos and I think you take better photos than the commercial/advertised photos! Your are a pro! And you are right, I'm having problems with lighting, my room is badly lit and the reflection came from the 4-foot flourecent light :( I have a question, I don't use flash nor I own a Speedlite, should I get a Speedlite for my Canon to improve my figure photos? Any recommendation?

And I see that your lighting is okay, it's just the paper that is glossy ^^;
but if you think your room is badly lit, you may need to get more desk lamps :)

Hmm... a desk lamp, I have one but it isn't very powerful. If I place it too close to my figure, the photo will look harsh. I'll see what I can do, perhaps get more lamps + diffuser, otherwise shoot outdoor (haven't tried that yet :P). THANKS AGAIN ron!!!

Off Topic: Well bout starting my own blog...... well if i have the basic skills & tools or gadget it would nice though.... well if compare to you your collection is greater than mine, so nothing good to show dude...

Better make up your mind fast coz both Mei and Rize is going to become rare items. You might want to give XL a call now.
Off-topic: Blogger.com is super user-friendly, give it a shot. And when it comes to figurine collection, it's not about 'comparing' at all, just show everyone what you have recently got and express how much you treasure them, that's all :)
