| | | My first experience with Griffon Enterprises was a bit disappointing. Their recently released Suzumiya Haruhi 1/7 scaled Gothic Lolita version figure, although looks amazing and attractive from its commercial photos, its paint job is mediocre after thorough inspection as shown below. However, there's one thing I really like about this figure that is the small metal plate with the word "HARUHI SUZUMIYA" embossed at its base. | | | Above: Griffon's Suzumiya Haruhi Gothic Lolita Version | | | Above: Griffon's Suzumiya Haruhi Gothic Lolita Version. you can almost see her pantsu straight from her back actually. | Never miss pantsu shot when taking figurine photo. And oppai as well LOL! Noticeable flaws and irregular paint job. | | | Above: Bad paint job and sculpting of Haruhi's skirt | Overall, Haruhi Gothic Lolita version isn't a strong recommendation if you prioritise quality over character design. However, if you are like me who collect Haruhi figures, the this is a must-have. PS: Coming up soon, Char Rhousemaan and Needa figures to complete my Shuraki set as well as the fully castoffable Queen's Blade Steel Princess Yumil P2. Otanoshimini!

Well, those aren't really visible if you look from afar.. Well, I really hope that the Goth Punk Mikuru will be more splendid than this.. ^^ | | otaku dan (USA) Posted August 1st, 2008 2:57 pm (Fri) | she looks cute in that outfit and she has a nice butt | | jus a loser (KL) Posted August 1st, 2008 11:32 pm (Fri) | Woooooooooow that's a big flaw at the back, now i know why people still complain ( and you of course) once & after they receive the figurine. Whew... it's good thing that i cancelled my order since, i didn't think it could go this bad bout the figure. (Broke coz of lucky star is the main reason that i didn't order though) | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted August 2nd, 2008 3:00 am (Sat) | @Fariz Asuka I haven't been reading blogs for a while so thanks for the heads up. I didn't know that there are complaints about this figure actually. And you are absolutely right, Gothic Haruhi still looks very good from afar :) @otaku dan LOL!!! I couldn't agree more, very nice butt :P @jus a loser Griffon actually nailed it right with its 'gothic' theme for Haruhi figures, they just have to set their QA/QC bar higher. Overall it's very satisfactory :) I just noticed that the box labelled this Haruhi as 'statue' instead of PVC figure. | | | | | | |
