| | | Yet another quick post of the month, today's weblog showcases the famous 1/8 scaled Hatsune Miku figure by GoodSmile Company. Yes, this figure isn't new but there was nothing we could do, our local retail shop was bad at acquiring Japanese figurines in a timely manner (-_-). This gorgeous 1/8 Hatsune Miku figurine actually belongs to my buddy Jus a loser and he had been keeping Miku sealed in the box for WEEKS until this short photoshoot session. And it was my pleasure to unbox her for the first time, ARIGATOU! | | | Above: GoodSmile Company 1/8 Hatsune Miku | | | | Above: GoodSmile Company 1/8 Hatsune Miku | | | | Above: GoodSmile Company 1/8 Hatsune Miku (front) | | | | Above: GoodSmile Company 1/8 Hatsune Miku (rear) | | | Read or post comment (6 Otaku comments) | gordon (Sinagpore) Posted December 21st, 2008 1:05 pm (Sun) | have it and love it. but unfortunately no stripped pantsu though. :( | | ron~ (Melbourne, Australia) Posted December 21st, 2008 10:14 pm (Sun) | wah, how come he didn't open the box immediately :O I think you need more light on her, but yeah too much light also make her skin too pale (she's not easy to shoot because her skin is quite pale :(, and another problem is her twin tail blocking the light D: ) | | Rin (Toronto, Canada) Posted December 22nd, 2008 4:42 am (Mon) | Nice pictures... How come you kept it in the box so long...that figure is something you can't keep in the box!!! I say during the shoot...move your figure a bit up and have more light in the background so the background doesn't have any gray spots... | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted December 22nd, 2008 10:37 am (Mon) | @ gordon, That explains the pantsu shot is missing (^_^)! @ ron~, Strange, I didn't ask him that question, perhaps he thinks that unopened figures are more valuable and would like to keep his precious Miku that way. I packed everything back into the box after the photoshoot, as if it wasn't opened before. I did try using two desk lamps but I couldn't get the results I wanted, kinda sucks. So I simply shot her like I'd normally do. You could probably tell that I bumped up the Brightness and warm her up (the raw photos were really pale) a lot using Photoshop. @ Rin, Arigatou! Thanks for your tips. I am quite a beginner at shooting figurine and I couldn't seem to get proper lighting with my lamps :( Need to do more experiments but until then, Photoshop everything LOL! | | Jus a loser (Kuala Lumpur) Posted December 23rd, 2008 8:45 am (Tue) | Well the main reason i didn't open it is that i didn't have a suitable place to put her, or rather i should say display her... And beside Chinese New Year is just around the conner a it would be a very pain in the ass is i have to remove all of my figurines and those massive gundam figures just to clean up the room. Well after cleaned up the room i might put display her above my manga shelf..... Still think where i should put man..... | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted December 23rd, 2008 10:02 am (Tue) | @ Jus a loser, LOL! That means you're having the "typical" space crisis that many figurine otakus face nowadays, time to get a display cabinet! | | | | | | |
