 | Nanako Nekomimi School Swimsuit Posted: December 31st, 2008 5:39 am (Wed) by Divine Fang Last Edited: January 1st, 2009 11:09 am (Thu) Views: 5601 [Permalink] Tag: Figure, To Heart 2 Another Days, Nanako, Nekomimi | | | The final day of year 2008 brings chou-moe Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- of To Heart 2 Another Days!!! This HUGE 1/5 scaled figure was quite an impulse purchase, I never thought that Nanako would come into my possession although she did make it to my wishlist a few months ago. She was acquired when I was collecting my Nendoroid Playsets A & B at XL-Shop just today. | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | Note: Sukumizu means "School Swimsuit". Nanako was retailed at 9,800 yen (excluding shipping) so I thought the shop manager gave me a good price at MYR328 (~USD94) despite the Yen has gone up significantly. I would've paid MYR400 (~USD115) or more should I pre-ordered her online. I couldn't find my DSLR so I grabbed my sister's compact camera, Lumix FX10 and took some photos of Nanako for this blog entry. As shown below, the 1/5 scaled Nanako is almost as large as a 1/4 scaled Suzumiya Haruhi Bunny Girl and her head has similar size to that of a Nendoroid. If you are not a lolicon nor a To Heart fan, I'd say that the 1/5 scale is primarily Nanako's selling point :D~~~ | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Glossy swimsuit finishing! | An up-close shot using macro mode at Nanako's hair reveals some imperfections but they are not really visible to naked eyes. | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: Kotobukiya's 1/5 Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- Official photo | | | | Above: 2D Nanako -NEKOMIMI SUKUMIZU- | | | | Above: 2D Nanako -School Uniform- | That's all for year 2008, Happy Holidays! PS: *resumes watching Kouhaku* Update 2009-01-01: Added some random photos of Nanako after I found my DSLR :) | | Read or post comment (6 Otaku comments) | Jus a loser (Kuala Lumpur) Posted December 31st, 2008 6:00 am (Wed) | Hey Hey Hey Hey!!!! I didn't heard before that you watched To Heart 2, that is news to me man... I thought you will blog about Unity Yuno 1st... Never would have thought...... Well it is still moeru to me. Oh ya Ake Ome.(short ver of akemashite omedetou gozaimasu) Haha a bit early though. Oh ya aren't school swimwuit suppose to be suku-rumizu(In katakana)??? | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted January 1st, 2009 11:21 am (Thu) | @ Jus a loser, Not a "To Heart 2" fan at all but somehow got hooked to Nanako :p Yeah, I'm still waiting for my Unity Yuno to arrive, ordered her from Play-Asia. I hope she won't get into any trouble at local customs as she's R18. I realized that before posting, did take a close look at Nanako's box and it's written clearly "SUKUMIZU". | | Acesan (Sydney, Aus) Posted January 1st, 2009 5:47 pm (Thu) | Looks like an awesomely huge figure. And judging from the background, you're a fan of those ^_^;; Happy New Year, looks like you started yours with a good one! | | ron~ (Melbourne, Australia) Posted January 1st, 2009 5:55 pm (Thu) | hmm cancelled this nanako last minute before, since I was a bit tight on money at that time... the final product seems like a very good one tho.. maybe I'm going to pick this later this year heh.. and Happy New Year 2009 mate :) | | Fariz Asuka (Singapore) Posted January 2nd, 2009 9:44 am (Fri) | Wow, I didn't know you can take those great shots using a Lumix FX10.. The shots are quite perfect indeed.. xD Nanako really looks MOE.. I wont be able to get her as my mum would kill me for having such Kawaii~~ loli.. =_=;; | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted January 2nd, 2009 10:01 am (Fri) | @ Acesan, Nanako should be my favourite figure of the year. Extremely happy with the purchase! Oh, the bed and pillow came altogether in the box :) @ ron~, Eh?! Go for Nanako! She is an easy recommendation. @ Fariz Asuka, The first, second and up-close shots were taken using Lumix FX10 and the results turned out surprisingly good. Understood. I think my mom will go crazy too if I place Nanako beside my bed (she looks really good there though). HAPPY NEW YEAR MINNA! | | | | | | |
