| | | A countdown of another countdown just doesn't make sense to me *a bit annoyed* but I guess this is how Hideo Kojima-sama makes his countdown site become headlines twice on major video gaming sites. Just a few hours ago, the first countdown, which was expected to reveal the truth behind the mysterious "5" has expired and led to another 5-day countdown timer. This time around, the "5" seems to be missing but according to Joystiq, if stare long enough on the site, you will eventually get "5", "@", "E" and "3".

Rumors have it that a new Metal Gear series is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming E3 expo (and Famitsu) and it seems to make a lot of sense based on the hint -5@E3-. The title tag on the site reads KOJIMA PRODUCTION "NEXT" and fans are expecting the announcement of the next Metal Gear Solid, "METAL GEAR SOLID 5" aka "MGS5".

| | | Above: Playstation World Magazine hints LORDS OF SHADOW? | Reported by PushSquare and Kombo, it appears that the new PSW magazine silhouette teaser hints Lords of Shadow, a production set to be released 2010 where the current developement team is under Kojima's advisory. Nani?!

Posted May 22nd, 2009 11:00 am (Fri) | Ermmmm this is my guess the 1st word that i seen is either a 5 or a S well my guess is 5 for MGS[5] and there is an E3 so this might be a big news at E3 and the last [e] well or might be [@]... Well just wait for 30th of May. (when the countdown stop that is.....)

But that should be a long time ago, no? Anyways MGS5 is still a rumor. We will need to wait 5 more days.

I did mention that actually. It sums up as 5@E3. Well, until 30th May, we all might just be completely wrong and there's no "METAL GEAR SOLID 5".

But yeah, knowing Kojima he may pull a thing or two.

True, Outer Haven is doomed, which means this (MGS5) could be another prequel as claimed by many speculators.

Some claims that there will be a dedicated game for Raiden based on MGS4, or just a downloadable content, but I think that's not going to happen.
