| | | Knowing that the Kojima's teaser site has nothing to do with Lords of Shadow was a relief! Following previous entry about Kojima's teaser site, the storm now flashed an image of an old man who seems to be "Big Boss" (due to his eye patch) and two new letters "P" and "R" in addition to previous "E","5","e" and "3". 1UP sums up that it is very clear that the countdown site is suggesting upcoming METAL GEAR SOLID 5 which might be a "PRE"quel of the MGS series. | | | Above: Prequel of the MGS saga, METAL GEAR SOLID 5? | According to Kotaku, Famitsu carried out a full interview with Hideo Kojima but unfortunately in the report, the keywords have been censored as requested by Kojima and agreed by the Famitsu's editor. Despite the censor, it could be derived that the upcoming Kojima game may not be known as METAL GEAR SOLID 5, but could be METAL GEAR SOLID ~insert subtitle here~ or a spinoff title due to different gameplay system mentioned. Kojima also did not use the word Big Boss in the interview to describe the flashing old man but speculation is that he might be a clone. Kojima also states that he is doing all the game design and directing and the game is mainly targeted at Japanese market but will also be released worldwide. Read the translated interview here and here. | | | Above: Kojima's Teaser site is now extremely stormy. | | | | Above: Famitsu reveals Raiden and "old man" (BIG BOSS clone?) | | | | Above: Famitsu & Hideo Kojima Interview | | | | Above: Famitsu & Hideo Kojima Interview | Update 2009-05-29: Kojima Teaser Site Reveals RAIDEN and "MASK". | | | |
