| | | As shown on previous Famitsu reports, we now have the expected appearance of presumed character RAIDEN breaking the storm at Kojima's teaser site countdown. Joystick reported that RAIDEN began to appear some time in the 90 hour mark. Additionally, we get letter "C" and two more numbers flashing in the mix, "6" and "0" (or letter O). Initial speculation of the new numbers form "360" as in "XBOX 360". As of now we have 5 (S), @ (e), E, 3, P, R, C, 6 and 0 (O). | | | Above: RAIDEN flashes on Kojima's teaser site now! | At Kojima's teaser site, you will also notice significant changes to the weather as the wind blows very strong (but the grass aren't moving?) and lightning becomes more frequent. | | | Above: At Kojima's Teaser site, the weather is getting worse and worse. | Surprisingly, a closer look at the bottom KOJIMA PRODUCTION icon sees alternating image of a mask which hyperlinks to an entirely different teaser site entitled "KOJIMA PRODUCTION MASK". For your first visit there, you shall be prompted to enter your birthday before the following mask is revealed. | | | Above: Kojima Production "MASK" | I have input an age of 21+ birthdate but was in no luck to encounter the morphing mask as reported by Kotaku. It will morph and decay into an eerie "Silent Hill"-like mask (obviously with the intention to arouse fear) and eventually disappear. As this point, whether or not the "MASK" has any connection with Kojima's "NEXT" or is a seperate production is still unknown but I would say that the odds are leaning towards the latter. | | | Above: Kojima Production "MASK". Creepy? | Update 2009-06-01: Kojima's countdown site is now Sunny! | | Read or post comment (4 Otaku comments) | Jus a loser (Kuala Lumpur) Posted May 29th, 2009 5:35 am (Fri) | Hahaha, as expected there is a 360 version... i went to a Japan forum and the main title for the forum is 誰か〇を埋めてくれ!!(means would someone please bury the 0!!!!) Hahahaha man they REALLY hate 360 huh... Oh ya seams like this story is after MGS4. Might be.... | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted May 29th, 2009 5:52 am (Fri) | @ Jus a loser, I'd say most likely a "yes" too. Xbox 360 is still very popular in the west but not in Kojima's territory though. Yup, judging from RAIDEN's eye patch and his somewhat new exoskeleton, part of the story might be post MGS4. The new METAL GEAR SOLID might not be named MGS5 but rather a MGS4's "Subsistence". | | Metal Gear Hot (Pakistan) Posted May 31st, 2009 2:03 am (Sun) | Actually thats not raiden, thats grey fox. His eyes are red, only grey fox had red eyes, raiden had blue. Plus the exo-skeleton looks like it closes on his face like it does for grey fox. Finally big boss has the outer heaven logo on his beret. This looks like an announcement for a ps3 remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, to me. | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted May 31st, 2009 10:26 am (Sun) | @ Metal Gear Hot, Aah, thanks for the heads up. But it does seem weird that grey fox has the same damage on his lower jaw like Raiden? One more day to go before the truth is revealed... | | | | | | |
