Woo hoo!!! My ultimate PG EVA model kit "PERFECT GRADE EVANGELION EVA-01 Limited Coating Edition" has finally arrived! This figure was initially released in 1997 and later re-released in Limited Coating Edition a.k.a Extra Finished Edition in 2006, celebrating anime Neon Genesis Evangelion 10th anniversary. The normal 1997 edition had been on my wishlist way back in year 2000 as soon as I acquired the High Grade EVA-01, but back then the impulse to buy this figure wasn't strong enough nor I could afford USD195 for a premium model kit.

The package arrived in a HUGE box moments ago, in less than two weeks after a smooth eBay transaction. The 1/4 Mikuru Bunny Girl and 10cm-tall Nendoroid Kagami should be able to provide you a sense of scale here.

This model kit comes with a full-coloured assembly manual and a special translucent Ayanami Rei poster supposely intended to be sticked on a glass window. Full scans and more photos of this Evangelion kit can be found here until I finish building this model. Otanoshimini!

Update: Follow-up of this post is located here.

@ Jus a loser,
...by simply following the assembly diagram? LOL!
Perhaps you're right, I do have minimal experience in building model kit but this ain't my first time snapping these plastic pieces together. Do have to admit that I lack of painting skill and sticking decals though :p
