 | Bayonetta Costumes Posted: October 30th, 2009 2:27 pm (Fri) by Divine Fang Last Edited: October 30th, 2009 2:30 pm (Fri) Views: 59100 [Permalink] Tag: Game, Bayonetta | | | Sega's flag ship action game Bayonetta is out but I shall not be getting it anytime soon as I have Tekken 6 to work on now. I have only played the Japanese demo version downloaded off PSN (JP) and the initial impression was that Bayonetta, as complicated as it may seem, is quite a button smasher type of game. Demo Game Initial Impression The well-prepared demo started off with a tutorial of a bunch of movelist and combos to memorize. I wasn't too good at pulling off some combos in the actual gameplay. Most of the time I ended up with square, square, square... LOL! I was a Devil May Cry 4 (DMC4) player (loved Exceeds) and Bayonetta was perceived weaker when it comes to cut scenes presentation. I simply find DMC4 cut scenes were better scripted and more cinematic. However, my initial impression may be wrong as Bayonetta earns a perfect 40/40 rating by Famitsu. | | | Above: Bayonetta street poster | | | | Above: Bayonetta street poster | Bayonetta Costumes Bayonetta, much like recent fan service loaded titles (talking about Ayane's oppai manipulation using motion sensor control from Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Tekken 6 Lili's console exclusive costume) includes some nasty costume customization option in the full release, though they need to be unlocked. | | | Above: Bayonetta cheerleader (with pantsu exposed) costume | | | | Above: Bayonetta kimono fetish | | | | Above: Bayonetta thong swimwear | | | | Above: Bayonetta Japanese school PE outfit | | | | Above: Bayonetta translucent gothic skirt | Bayonetta looks hot but I'm not "excited", she has a body proportion design failure no matter how you look at her. Bayonetta is BIG! Buy or not buy? | | | Above: Bayonetta proportion failure | | | | Above: Lonecow couldn't bare the failure and gave Bayonetta a body fix |

The first impression - akin to DMC....but gender, lady :). | | Preston (KL) Posted October 31st, 2009 8:32 pm (Sat) | Hmmm....what's the song of the trailer? The songs fits her characteristic nicely...:). Her hairdo very weird and why the spec??? to create feels of OL :p? | | Preston (KL) Posted October 31st, 2009 8:51 pm (Sat) | Googled, Michi - Something Missing - I got attached to the chorus :p.... Sagashiteiru Nani wo motometeiru Nani ka wakaranai mama Tada imi wo hoshigaru I still don't know why I'm here Ima dekiru koto just believe I will keep on fighting till I find the way To something that I'm missing the chorus beats still humming in my head....hahah :p. | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, MY) Posted November 1st, 2009 7:05 am (Sun) | @ Preston, Female characters sell good in Japan, and obviously male gamers dominate in the industry. The spec = Megane fetish. Oh, OL fetish in your case :D PS: Even the upcoming big FFXIII has female as the main character too. It's all about harem lol! | | Preston (KL) Posted November 1st, 2009 9:35 am (Sun) | @Divine Fang. It's called Megane Fetish, interesting. Watched few animes nowadays, the characteristics wont run away from these few categories: 1) Innocent. 2) Hyper Active. 3) OL - most of them with Megane....haha. 4) Serious. 5) Pervert. or mixture of one or two or three above....:). Now I know the Japanese trend is full of ettchi...:) | | Divine Fang (Kuala Lumpur, KL) Posted November 1st, 2009 11:09 pm (Sun) | @ Preston, Great findings for you. Welcome to the world of ettchi :D Any merchandises in Japan that heads toward this direction (moe, ettchi, tsundere) will sell better, including tis console game Bayonetta. | | Erik (MB, Canada) Posted January 10th, 2011 9:43 pm (Mon) | Well I guess you found her design a failure because she doesn't look like a 12 year old with a boob job. Bayonetta is an English WOMAN, who is suppose to be a powerful force. Confidence, power, independence, ect. This doesn't fit the typical Japanese female character and I guess that's why you didn't like it. I see that you would have probably liked it better if Bayonetta was in the form of as I said, a 12 year old with a boob job with super powers. However, she would be completely useless, crying at everything she saw, and completely dependent on a male character all the while being overly innocent, naive, and ditzy. Not to mention high on helium at all times. Strong, curvy female characters = not welcome by Japanophiles. lol Bayonetta is not human, it says that repeatedly in the game. Though I do think it funny that you are so caught up on her height when the fact remains that the majority of characters have eyes the size of saucers, and the fact that you changed her appearance to form where her head is too big for her body appose to the right size is comical. Though people seem to have accepted the FF bobble head girls as being completely proportionate lol! | | | | | | |
