| | | It's been quite a while since I last made my figurine photoshoot entry! So here goes... Based on Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance, Revoltech Yamaguchi No.067 EVA TEST TYPE-01 New Movie Edition was out in mid-June 2009 but I was not aware of the release nor had the interest to buy any Revoltech until yesterday. The reason was that I failed to locate Alter's 1/8 Ayanami Rei in a local shopping mall and therefore simply grabbed this Revoltech, as I didn't want to leave the figurine shop empty-handed. Duh! | | | Above: Revoltech Yamaguchi 067: Eva Test Type-01 New Movie Edition | > Read the rest of this entry and comment...

 | | | | How many of you actually backup your files periodically? Honestly, I am an extremely lazy person to burn or backup my files to CD/DVDs. In fact, I have never actually burned a single CD/DVD for backup purpose LOL! I buy hard disk drives, slap them in as slaves and manually copy important files to the new drive. Of course, a RAID 1 configuration would be ideal but I never bother messing my motherboard RAID controller nor getting two identical hard disk drives. I'd prefer the conventional method, but with the help of GFI Backup and Macrium Reflect (both with VSS). And today's post shall feature both these useful freewares. | | | Above: Screenshot of my desktop with Macrium Reflect and GFI Backup. | > Read the rest of this entry and comment...

 | | | | Like many otakus do, I spend big part of my time in front of my PC and I have been using MS Windows for many years until I got Fedora Linux installed very recently, just about 2 weeks ago so I'm a beginner when it comes to Linux. Today's web log is not otaku-related but to share with you fellow readers and otakus who enjoy computing as much as watching anime or buying figurines about my first Fedora Linux hands-on. | | | Above: My Fedora 10 Gnome desktop. | > Read the rest of this entry and comment...

 | | HTC Touch HD Posted: October 6th, 2008 12:25 pm (Mon) by Divine Fang Last Edited: October 6th, 2008 1:03 pm (Mon) Views: 5447 [Permalink] Tag: Tech, PDA, Windows Mobile, HTC | | | While both terms "otaku" and "geek" may be closely related to each other, today's entry is focused towards the "geek" factor, featuring the upcoming high-end PDA phone, the HTC Touch HD! Specification of this sleek looking device leaked out last month and was announced officially at HTC's website later. The biggest selling point of the HTC Touch HD, presumably, is the size of the LCD screen as well as it's compact design for such screen quality. The Touch HD sports a 3.8" WVGA (480x800) resolution screen with its body size very similar to that of an Apple iPhone. So, obviously the Touch HD is targetted on consumers who seek both high-end multimedia capability and more advance funtions not offered by "conventional" phone, or even iPhone. > Read the rest of this entry and comment...
